Hi, I'm Jen Fargeot, Sydney-sider mother of two and co-founder of Fargeot Natural Perfumes with my husband Anthony.

With the birth of my first child, I became more conscious of the harmful man-made chemicals found in everyday products, including in personal care and beauty. Mainstream perfumes may have an allure of luxury, but chemical analysis reveals toxins such as phthalates, which have been linked to inflammation and therefore chronic diseases including cardiovascular issues and diabetes. Once you wash these products off, phthalates can also spread throughout the soil and water, leading to conditions such as infertility and organ damage in animals.

Although natural perfumes have been available for some time, they typically do not match the quality of mainstream brands. They may only offer a more generic line of scents, may not last as long, or simply come in plainer packaging. Many, as a result, return to mainstream chemical products. We realised that perfumes need to be long-lasting and be designed with a premium-quality scent in mind to add that extra sparkle.

In light of this, my husband and I began to create 100% natural perfumes that do not compromise on quality, particularly in terms of lasting power and scent. With Fargeot Natural Perfumes, you can be both beauty conscious and health conscious. As an all-vegan line, you don’t have to worry about compromising your ethics either.

While other perfumes do not list some or all of their ingredients, we take the opposite stance and give you full disclosure. I believe in knowing what goes into your body – yes, much of what you put on your skin gets absorbed! With natural beauty products designed by holistic principles, you can feel as wonderful on the inside as you are on the outside.

We named our company after our family name, which is of French origin. Fargeot Natural Perfumes was founded in November 2020 and officially launched in January 2021 and has been steadily growing ever since.

In March 2022, we officially launched our all-natural deodorants line and our all-natural soap line followed in November 2022.
